HELLO, I'm Kate
Hello, I’m Kate. I’m a Senior Registered Yoga Teacher with 5,000+ hours of teaching experience, 50+ weekly clients and a passion to share yoga that works for real people. I have been teaching for 13 years, worked with hundreds of characters and bodies, and I know anatomy and movement. With a background in functional movement, you’re in expert hands ~ with zero pressure or pretence ~ just expert-guidance and encouragement.
I teach inclusive, intelligent yoga to beginners, men, athletes, everyone. From people managing chronic illness to those chasing performance goals, my approach is grounded, safe, anatomically-led and science-informed, with a welcome dose of energy and encouragement.
I wasn’t always a yoga convert. I preferred high-impact workouts, at least, until my body had other plans. What started as a reluctant experiment during illness became a life-changing support-system. Yoga has helped me through injury, stress, burnout, illness, and the daily juggle of being a working mum with an ADHD brain.
Yoga benefits everyone!
No pretzels.
No pressure.
Just movement that helps you feel stronger, calmer and more free in your body.
Yoga that supports your life
If you’re resistant to yoga but keep being told it will help, I’ve been there, I promise. I was the biggest resistor ever, too! But keep reading. The evidence doesn’t lie!
I lead inclusive and creative yoga classes, and I design sequences for real bodies. I welcome people who are brand new to yoga, returning to yoga from injury or otherwise, people who are managing stress, living with disabilities, neurodivergent and I teach athletes and sports teams seeking to improve performance and recovery.
Expect yoga with safe, experienced guidance, expert instruction and encouragement and challenge in equal measure.
60 people practise with me week after week, some year after year.
Come and see for yourself – check out the timetable and book yourself in!

Yoga for Men // FAQs
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Tightness is assumed.
Most men arrive stiff. That’s normal and expected.
Is this for athletes only?
Not at all. I work with desk workers, trades, runners, footballers, dads, and men who’ve never done yoga before. I specialise in sport and injuries, but you don’t need a sporty background.
What about my injuries?
Injuries are very common here. I hate that injuries are the second biggest reason to NOT styart yoga (behiind flexiblity).
Classes are practical and injury-aware, with options offered throughout.
You’re encouraged to work to what your body can do on the day.
You will provide all relevant medical and injury information on booking – or prior, if you wish to discuss, email me – so that we can work together to keep you safe, whilst exploring movement options to suit you.
What is the class style?
Less fancy flow, more functional movement.
Strength, mobility, and stability, with nervous system settling throughout. You can think of it as useful movement that helps you feel better.
But there is flow elements – because they are fundamental to yoga and how we get the benefits! Don’t worry, we’ll offer modifications and keep checking in.
Is it awkward if I've never done yoga?
No. Many men arrive slightly suspicious! You won’t be the only beginner, and the room is supportive and judgement-free.
What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in.
Eventually, your own mat (which I encourage for hygiene reasons, as we sweat sometimes!) but for your first few sessions, make sure you ask me to bring you one to borrow. Other equiopment / props are provided.
What's the vibe?
Encouraging, grounded, no ego. A solid group of men who show up, move, improve, and get on with their lives feeling better.
Private Yoga Tuition
Sports & Athletes
Yoga isn’t just for injuries. It’s a performance tool – one I believe in, personally and professionally. As an ex-marathon runner, Hell Runner, pole dancer, swimmer and casual 5km jogger, I’ve experienced the benefits firsthand. Now I help others use yoga to support strength, mobility and nervous system recovery alongside sport.
This is functional yoga for people who move. We focus on:
-
Enhancing flexibility and joint stability
-
Supporting overused muscles and underused ones
-
Regulating the nervous system through breath and recovery techniques
-
Improving rest, repair and overall performance
Sessions are adapted to your training load, injury history and your goals.

Your practice. Your pace. Real change.
Why Private and Specialist Yoga?
Some of the most powerful results I’ve seen have come from private sessions. When the space is yours, the pace is yours, and the practice is built specifically around your needs – real transformation happens.
Whether it’s rebuilding after injury, regaining confidence, managing stress or working toward a performance goal, private and specialist yoga gives you the time, attention and tools to move forward.
Yoga. Anytime. Anywhere. Yours.

Why Practice Yoga?
Yoga has immediate and long-lasting effects, both obvious and subtle, and on both physical and mental health.
It is a fantastic way of future-proofing your body to cope better with the challenges of ageing, to bring balance to constantly over-stimulated nervous systems, and to prime your joints and muscles to enhance a sport.
I couldn’t live my active life without my yoga practise, and I was NOT sold on yoga when I first started as a marathon runner turned ME/CFS sufferer, but now I won’t shut up about it’s genuinely incredible benefits! Benefits such as…….
Flexibility with Improved Strength & Stablity
Functional Diaphragmatic Breathing
Settles Overstimulation & Stress, promoting Restorative Sleep
Maintain Body Density & Joint-Health
Corporate Wellness Events
When invited, I teach corporate classes, workplace weeklies & hybrid offerings
I have a wealth of experience delivering corporate yoga experiences, both independently and in collaborations. I have taken my teaching to the Comic Relief boradroom every week for 2 years (London), to a warehouse employee event at L’Oreal (Manchester), run Wellness Wednesdays at Dentsu and Havas, delivered an evening yoga event in the Shard with HarperCollins, and taught an after-school event for 30 teachers at a local school!
With s space and intention, we can create something special!

“Having been tempted to try Yoga for a long time, but unsure of the access for an old, un-stretchy man, it was so refreshing and welcoming to have an all-male beginners class where we could all discover the benefits of yoga on our weary bodies!
Moving into my second term of Kate’s classes, I fully feel the benefits across the board; I feel stronger, more flexible, more in control of my body in other exercise etc.
Kate is the perfect guide through this. We’re lucky to have her on the doorstep, and if I could give more than 5 stars I would!”
